Author Mallory Maddox is desperate to revive her career after years of writer’s block. When she meets Leo, a vulnerable young gay man struggling with addiction and homelessness, she sees his life as material for her next bestseller—and begins convincing herself that his story belongs to her.

A dark, satirical thriller for readers who enjoyed Yellowface and like uncomfortable questions about ambition, exploitation, and who gets to tell someone else’s story.
