My Friends by Fredrik Backman

Format & Condition: Paperback — Large Print Edition, Excellent

Genre: Contemporary Fiction; Literary Fiction

When young artist Louisa becomes the unexpected owner of a remarkable painting, she sets out to uncover the story behind the tiny figures pictured in it. Her journey leads back twenty-five years to four teenagers whose friendship offered refuge from difficult lives and helped make something extraordinary possible.

Winner of the 2025 Goodreads Choice Award for Fiction and a Fallon Book Club pick, this novel comes from the beloved author of A Man Called Ove. I recommend it for Backman’s signature blend of humor and heartbreak, and its moving reminder that friendship and art can change the course of a life.
