The Christmas Bookshop by Jenny Colgan

Format & Condition: Paperback, New
Genre: Contemporary Fiction; Romance

After losing her job, Carmen reluctantly moves in with her seemingly perfect sister in Edinburgh and takes work at a struggling old bookshop. Bringing order to its dusty shelves offers an unexpected fresh start, but saving the shop before Christmas means confronting family tensions and opening herself to new possibilities.

A New York Times bestseller from the author of The Bookshop on the Corner, this is the first book in the Christmas Bookshop series. I recommend it for its atmospheric Scottish setting, complicated sisterly relationship, and irresistible celebration of the way a neighborhood bookstore can bring people together.
